In some ways a continuation of My Year of Reading...but perhaps not...

the Cynic, Diogenes
was apparently a wanderer with no city, no home, no fatherland. I wonder what he read...?

Is wandering a detachment? Does it view relationships as restrictive? Certainly not interrelationships because wandering is all about connection and rhizoming (making connection between things that set off new shoots, wanderings in new directions).

Is painting like that too?

Maybe reading is too linear and that what the wandering reader really does is write.
I think I'll try that:

Pirsig is on the mountain with Chris thinking about Phaedrus thinking about Quality...Antigone is taking a stand...Cordelia and Lear are in the glowing tent...there's a construction working walking like a footballer outside my office window...The red & white audio cables and the yellow video cable should connect the video camera to the projector for my class on Monday...reading over my notes and observations on student presentations, I realize that sometimes my mind wanders...
